Help Needed please.

Ok i have £600 quid to spend on a hardtail,

I have managed to get it down to either a Kona Cinder Cone 2008 or a Specialized rockhopper disc 2008,

I cant seem to split them on paper and i like the look of both of them, I am starting to sway towards the Rockhopper

Any thoughts from anyone would be greatly received

Ride them again, but more critically, or go into both shops and see what you can bargin for!

I would think you generally get more for your money with a Spesh and I'd go for that personally, but you say you can't split them on paper. The Spesh does have the better fork. Tora 302 vs Dart 3, and people rave about the M4 frame.

Also, you probably won't have to pay £600 at this time of year - eg. Evans seems to have the Kona for £499 in all sizes and I'm sure you'll find a Spesh 08 on offer somewhere.

I had a go on the Spesh and I can't say I like the gloss red colour at all, but maybe you love it...

...it has stripes as well, so is probably even quicker than your 456.

I dunno, the 456 is pretty red... and currently has slicks on, thats damn fast

On paper the Rockhopper is much better. If a test can't split them, then go for the hopper.

cheers everyone, i had another ride on the hopper this afternoon and have decided to get that one

roll on the weekend
