Sastre to ride the Vuelta?

"Now I have a couple of races to do in Belgium and Holland before I go to the Olympic Games and then start to consider the Vuelta a España."
OK, so he's "considering" it... but it would be cool to have a Tour champion who actually races after July. Sastre versus Contador up the Angliru would be awesome.

I thought that he had it in his program for this year. He normally rides all 3 grand tours, doesn't he? & didn't do the Giro to see if he could improve his TdF results...
It's be a shame not to see him these & might even make it an interesting race!0 -
Sastre vs Contador would make that a race to watch. Heck, Vuelta/ASO should pay him to do it just so we can have last year's winner against this year's! I'd watch that!0

I think by 'consider' he means 'focus' rather than think about doing it or not. When I read that sentence it means to me that he is riding the Vuelta.Scottish and British...and a bit French0

it will be great to watch indeed - Roll on the Olympics and Vuelta0

Sastre is nails. Who else did all three tours last year?
Hope he does the Vuelta. It'll be great.
I'm off to William Hill this afternoon to collect my small part of Carlos' tour purse.

I've always had a soft spot for the Vuelta, Sastre, Contador, maybe a Schleck or two & Evans would be a race to watch0
