E-type Bottom Bracket???

I need a 68x113 one of these:

as soon as possible

However, the only 1 in stock is the E-type one...

What does that mean/stand for?

Anyon know?

    for use with an E type mount front mech or with a chaindevice.

    IE for a wider shell and part stack up.

    What would be the difference between a e-type mech a normal shimano one then?
    Or is it just a logo/model type.
    Surely if its the same size and the same as what I have in now.. it should be fine??

    about 2.5mm on the bb width but keeping the same chain line.

    if you intend to use one you will need to add a spacer to space out the drive side the same as a bb mount front mech would. IE. a E type mech.

    Edit it may be 2mm or even 1.5mm check the specs on E type mechs.

    ok thanks Nick, found a normal one for 45p more on ebay now so brought that.
