Can't recall who it was/is nor what size they were after, but there's a Road Path on th'bay at the moment:
Old Claud Butler Track Bike Racing Bicycle
With 'grd eyes (rear at least, can't tell about the forks) and plenty of clearance, ain't a pure track iron even from its period.
