What does the acronym SL stand for?

I have been looking at the Rockhopper pro disc 2008 which has a Rockshox Reba SL fork.

I can't seem to find SL on the standalone market, which I assume means it's a limited version that appears only with bikes off the shelf.

Either way, what does SL mean and is it likely to mean a streamlined, customized or limited edition?

In RS terms, it stands for 'sport line'. Many think it is super light, but not true.

However... Specialized have a deal with SRAM and RS to use the SL name for OE equipment, so you may see this moniker bandied about a fair bit.

Anyway, in terms of your reba it means... the bottom of the pile. But not a bad thing, as I think this is the best of them all. Who cares about external floodgate? Just pop the rebound adjuster in the hole...

SL now seems to be low down the range, with race, team and world cup added, and a bunch of numbers that nobody understands!
