What Brooks saddle?

Am thinking of getting a Brooks saddle, and am eyeing up the Swift or Swallow Titan. Anyone have any thoughts/experience of them?

my opinion is they weigh a ton and cripple you for at least a year till they are "broken in" or you are one or the other!
I wouldn't touch one.0 -
I've used my new Brooks saddles and even when rock hard they're the most comftable saddles I've sat on. They're not much heavier than a race saddle, maybe 200grams heavier if that.Say... That's a nice bike..

even the Ti railed ones are fairly heavy, Father Jack, i think your race saddle is too heavy if it is only 200g less than a brooks!
They are however very comfy and don't take that long to break in if you know what you're doing, check out sheldon browns web page for some good info on brooks saddles.0 -
Team Pro - 550 grams
Fizik Aliante Gamma Saddle -259 gramsSay... That's a nice bike..

I'm with Father Jack, Swift Titanium on my Audax Mk3 had the saddle 7 months and 2600 miles largely commuting but some longer rides as well. It's brilliant and was comfy from day 1.
Use Proofide as instructed and Sheldon Brown says on no account play with the tensioning nut on the front. I don't know whether this is correct or not but I haven't touched mine.0 -

If you really want to be obsessive with weight do refuse to carry a multi-tool, that must weight 200 grams? Also you must have spent £200+ on a road bike because it's lighter?
I'd rather my bike weighs 300grams more and able to ride my usual distances, than sit on a light plastic BMX style saddle to save weight and come off my bike with a sore bum.Say... That's a nice bike..
