How to Improve Eurosprt TV Coverage

I don't have a TV. I rely on dropping into my local pub to view TdF TV coverage. The licensee switches between horseracing, football and the Tour and keeps sound low. The clientele are quite interested in the TdF, they see the large crowds,. They appreciate it's hardness. They read the papers and know about Cavendish, the money involved and the drugs. They like facts, talking and giving their opinion. And they like to know who's winning.

I suggest this is the target audience if Eurosport wants to improve its viewing figures. So please Eurosport pay more attention to presentation. Present screen information which anszwers this audience's questions - ie (1) who's winning the General Classification real-time and (2) who's winning the current stage. So just provide a window showing a virtual TdF classification frequently on the screen generated from TT real-time progress. Currently it's done infrequently.

Cycle-sport on track and road can be a bit complex. Bear in mind that the big audience doesn't have specialist knowledge and just needs critical information well-presented. Otherwise the sport is being undersold.

95% of the race is the entire bunch rolling along together, what do you want a "virtual GC" on screen for? It's not going to change for the vast majority of the coverage.

Personally I think Eurosport's coverage of the race has been outstanding. There hasn't been a single stage delayed or interrupted by other sports. The commentary has been good - I even started to like Carlton Kirby a more by the end!

Just a shame they don't cover other races with the same standard.
