after my last pump snapped in half after 6 weeks of use I was determined to get a better pump this time round .
This pump is fantastic. It has a solid pump rod and strong handle . Accurate gauge and a facility to let air out to adjust max pressure. It is very robust.
The pump was posted next day delivery in a huge box and I can thoroughly recommend All Terrain Cycles who are clearly a well organised supply company.

For about 2 years i struggled with a cheap one my father bought (turned out he paid 7 quid for it and now I know why) until I found the Bontranger one I have. Havent a clue what model it it but its really robust and has been a joy to use (how often can you say that about pumps  )

It really is a case of you get what you pay for with pumps isn't it.
It's not until you finally use a good quality pump that you realise what you have put up with all those years previously. Grrrrr  Dad's eh!

I've had good luck with a track pump I bought in Decathlon. It's called Clever 9000 or 7000 or something like that. It get's used almost every day.

A decent track pump is worth its' weight in gold. Can't imagine life without mine.

Ahh this is mine, I think:

Paid 25 quid for it and took it home. Father grabs the handle and starts pumping without the lock being released. Two minutes later his mate does the same (and he's a keen commuter 40 miles a day!)

    Ahh well, no damage done.

I got one from Lidl's about 4 years ago still working fine. Keep meaning to get a good one but no point whilst this one still fine.

Had a couple of foot pumps go bang whilst pumping up the tyres on the bike before but so far track pump been great.

I have never regretted or even thought of replacing my 30+ year old Silca pump. They
    don't come any better. :D:D
