Do you recognise this frame? I really need your help. Please

Does anyone recognise this frame? What is it, and why does it have two rear shock mounting positions?

    Looks like a cheap Barracuda or Aldi special. The shockmounts vary geometry.

    At a third guess, looks like DDG.

    I know what you mean about it looking cheap, but it seems to be very well constructed.
    The rear swingarm is box section, unlike most of the cheapo stuff which seem to have bent tubular swingarms.
    Really want to know what it is now...

    I'm picking up the frame some time next week. I'll take a gamble on it for 20 notes!
    If anyone knows what it is, please put me out of my misery!

    well as the pictures are that small it is hard to say.

    But to me it looks like an over engineered short travel thing.

    But the detail at bb area has aroused my interest.

    Probably a long way off the mark. But the sloping top tube does look very [old] marin esque

    I reckon you should look at the older 'Mountain Cycle' range - San Andreas etc.
