2 Jan Valach (Aut) ELK Haus-Simplon
3 Michael Rogers (Aus) Columbia

Ben Swift came 2nd on the first stage as well.

    Good result for Downing, he came 53rd on stage for those interested.

    Excellent result for Ben too, only beaten by Andre Greipel, who's hardly a slouch.

    Im hoping Dekker can get a result... Linus Gerdemann is back too.... Im going to see it tomorrow and will have pictures on Saturday and Sunday

    It's good to see the GB Cycling team competing (and winning) at a race of this level. Not a bad field either.

    It's not really the GB team though is it. It's Rapha-Condor-Recycling with Swift & Bellis. Presume some sort of arrangement has been done due to much of the GB focus being on Beijing currently.
