Vein Pain

I've had a series of raised veins in my right calf for few years now, however, recently they have become slightly painful and remain so for a few days after any intense periods in the saddle. They are also tender to the touch.

They're in the same 'vein' as Hincapie's (but not as severe):

Any tips to alleviate the uncomfort; should I see a doc?

    They are called Varicose veins - there is an article on them here.

    They're not too painful but I will get them checked out the next time a see a doctor.
