What do I have to look for in a MTB hub to make it compatible with a 700c rim?

I have gone full circle regarding getting a new bike and have decided to get 700c wheelsets for my MTB.

Can anyone help with what I need to look out for when buying my rim and hub?

Thanks in advance

buy hubs that you like, buy rims that you like. put required info into a spoke calculator and order the spokes that you need.

and that is it other than making sure that they have the same number of holes.

You do have disc wheels on your mtb, right? If you don't, the brakes will be aimed at your spokes instead of your rim...

I would just buy Deore hubs. I have a couple of sets laced to 700c rims.
  • Thanks... it may have been a silly question question but if you dont know you just have to ask... other wise you waste money on incompatible products.

    incompatible products.

Unless you have discs, the 700s will be incompatible with the frame/forks!
