Overzealous with the de-greaser

And now I have a frightening squeak from the bottom bracket :( Firstly, is it possible to remove the lubricant from my bottom bracket with my own stupidity and laziness :oops: ? Secondly, is it possible to re-lubricate without loads of faffing about? (Shimano Hollowtech).

    are you sure it is BB and not something else, I'd think it would be unlikely that you'll have stripped it out of the bearings, so I'd disassemble and reassemble with appropriate lubricants.

    It appears to be timed to my pedal strokes. It sounds like an MTB that only gets ridden on the pavement at 5MPH by a hoodie that nicked it.

    "disassemble and reassemble"? Sounds like a job for my LBS then :oops: .
