Knowing full well what it's like to have a bike nicked, and to loose one at knife point.. I couldn't help but laugh very hard when I heard this.
Seeing as David Cameron is quite rightly a pompus pr**k, i consider it to be a small justice, in a sense
That and the fact he rides to work, but has a car follow behind with his stuff in it
"I chained the bike through the wheel then put it around one of those bollard things.... The thieves had apparently lifted the bike - and the chain - over the bollard and vanished."
that is just stupid - who chains their bike to a bollard (that is only waist high)?

It's horrible having bikes nicked, but that was almost asking for it.

It also goes to highlight that many retailers either wont or cant put cycle fascilities in place which helps lead to crime.
On the issue of the car following him, I was told that this was almost soley exagerated by the press. Not that I'm a fan of his.
