    Forks, tyres, wheels...

everything is upgradeable on any bike (within reason) unless you run XTR or X0

What's your budget & what don't you like or is broken?

In which case I would save for a new bike. By the time you have upgraded one or two of the main components you could probably just as well have got a whole new bike.

indeed, forks will cost from £100, wheels from £100, tyres from £35...

Run your current bike into the ground & save up, ~£300 and you will get a better bike than upgrading what you already have.

you could see if you could get some rockshock tora's on the bay or here for a bargain maybe under £50 you never know and see if someone off here will sell you some nice tryes from their 'tyre mountain' of ones thev'e tried and moved on from? £5 each maybe!

    Be cheeky!

Because you are 14 I guess you won't want to stick to XC only, wright?
Are you going to DH, FR or AM.

Look at my bike, I'm building it to Freeride machine not more than 16,5kg.
My mission, Tora 302, then fullsuspension AM frame, then tires 2.35 Maxxis, wheels FR,
brakes Juicy 5 185, 160, and at the end Domain  .
Drivetrain is not mentioned because it's cheaper than the rest I've mentioned.

So it's this you, like me? Go for majour upgrades every half year or a year.
If you stick for XC only, then save for new bike. :D

I doubt that your frame has clearance for a 2.35 inch tyre.

Yes it has, a friend of mine on the same frame has Highrollers 2.35, I think.
But I'll put 2.35 tires when I buy an AM frame. :D . 2 years from now, I hope. :(
This one: Press the leaf and go build kits to view the frame

If there's a high mountains, then you don't need trail, just go where you want.
But if you stick to XC, you can still upgrade peace by peace.

If you don't have any, and for XC, a speedo makes the ride a bit more fun.
For £10-15 you can buy a nice one.
Tyres, maybe Maxxis HighRollers? Because I have one, well........ two.

High Rollers are a little OTT if it's just light off road. Perhaps a semi slick?

depends on the conditions of the trail as well tho, what's the surfaces like? and if you are on a budget you may well want a tyre that will handle the trails when they are wet as well as when they are dry :D
There's no such thing as a stupid question, unless you already know the answer!

I'd upgrade the fork to perhaps something like a RS Dart 2 or 3 try for second hand on ebay or the like and the tyres, would improve the ride of that bike considerably and cost well under £100, then save for a new bike :D
