Hawes - any good routes?

Hi, anyone have any decent routes in the Hawes area?

Call into Kudu bikes in Hawes, I'm sure they can point you in the direction of the best trails.

I've had a few excellent rides in the Dales but all a fair bit south of Hawes (don't forget to get some cranberry and Wensleydale cheese while you're there - cracking cheese Gromit)

Stayed in Hawes the weekend before last and did a couple of loops from there.
Day one around 45 mliles :-
From Hawes upto Monkeybeck grains/Artengill jct from Hawes to Ribblehead Rd, then down Artengill upto Gayle moor, then onto Ribblehead viaduct over the Great wold, then back towards Kingsdale road upto the occupation Rd down Flintergill to Dent then to cowgill via road over Dandra garth and back to Hawes.
Day two around 35 miles:-
Over great Dunn fell then camfell rd and down to Horton in ribblesdale, over Foxup moor then over horsehead pass and back on the Tarmac down to Gayle.
A couple of killer loops on probably the hottest weekend of the year :shock:

Sadly, we never got further than the pub! Best intentions and all that, but it was very, very hot, what's a bloke to do? 8)
