Loch Ness 360

At the ripe old age of 41 I am taking part in my first road cycling event, the Ness 360 CycleSportif.
I recently swapped my 52-42 chainrings for a compact 50-34 which may help me ride that nasty hill.
Anyone else riding this one ? I am nervous already having only returned to cycling last November. My longest recent distance is 78Km with 400m of ascent although I have ridden the opposite side of the Loch on a mountainbike which was 60km and over 1200m climbing.
I am just hoping I will be able to fill my water bottles at the halfway point.
Any encouraging advice appreciated.
