Hey,
My birthday is coming up and since my Cateye comp has packed up im looking for a new computer. I would like to combine the HR an normal functions of a comp together but was wondering what people thought on the Garmin edge 305. is the downloadable data superior to a similar priced Polar unit? Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had experience of any as i have had non with either.

love my 305, wouldnt be without it.
Software that comes with it is pretty bad though, i use free software called sporttracks, reporting is pretty good, uses googlemaps (just for some reason when you first load it, it is set not to dispaly any maps) so the mapping is good to
If mine died today, i would go and buy another, i thought it died about 2 weeks ago (20 months old), and was about to buy the new 705... but found that it just needed resetting lol
Can't say anything about the polars, but would recommned a garmin 305 0
