Sorry if this is the wrong place... Just bought a new hardtail and as luck would have it I find myself near Coed-y-Brenin next week... Only problem is i've not ridden regularly for 10 years. Anyone know wihch if any of the trails will be fun but also suitable for someone who is rusty to say the least?

thanks in advance

When you get there have a look at the trail maps. There's a very friendly 'family' route if you want to ease yourself into it.

If you're feeling confident and are happy to ride over some bumpy stuff the MBR Trail is superb fun (although I found the climbs a bit of a killer when I first got back into it).
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

In general CYB is a pretty technical trail centre with all the trails, except the green one, having a number of tricky rocky sections to negotiate.

The Afon (green) trail is the family route and is a scenic ride of about 7 miles with no technical sections.

The Temtiwr would be a good one to try first. Only about 7 miles long but contains a taster of all the technical sections at CYB. Rocky start and finish and a tough old climb in the middle to get the blood pumping.

Thanks... will prob end up giving the family one a try, getting cocky and then giving myself an injury.
