As far as I know, amongst other things (looks, charm, organisation capabilities), podium girls have to be multi-lingual, which means they have a certain education level. This should mean they are intelligent enough to distinguish character from looks.

    Kohl comes over to me as more reflective and modest than many riders, and that probably goes down well with many women.

    you are correct,he has indeed been beaten by the ugly stick.Ironically enough though,despite this massive misfortune,on Sunday more people will be interested in photographing him in one afternoon than will want to photograph you throughout your entire life.
    I'm delighted that the winning of the jerseys in the Tour,unlike so many things in the early 21st century,is still decided on pure merit
