Cap popped off WH550 hub, what to do?

I went through a pot hole on the way into work this morning and a few seconds later noticed the "cap" on one side of my front wheel's hub had popped off. I was nearly in work anyway, so I carried on, and when I locked my bike up I just pushed it back on. This is what I looked like before I pushed it back on:
Should I be worried, is there anything I need to do, or do I just keep an eye on it, and give it a push back on if it comes off again?

Thanks John. It's only about the 4th time I've ridden it since the LBS serviced it, and I'm pretty sure they serviced the hubs. Might be that it just wasn't pushed back on properly afterward.0 -
Don't worry about it, it's not 'structural', it's there to stop dirt and crap getting into the hub.
Just shove it back in.0 -

My main worry was that I'd go round a corner and here the pitter patter of ball bearings rolling across the road :shock:0 -
Mine did the same a few weeks ago , I just put it back on.
I did think there was something wrong with my wheels last week but it turned out just to be water in my frame which I didn't notice til I lifted up my bike to get wheels out0 -
I went and gave it a prod during my lunch break. It seems to be on pretty securely now, so it must have just worked loose (or not been put on properly) and that pot hole this morning just jolted it off.0

Nah, a 'cup and cone' bearing has the cone holding the bearings into the cup
- kind of like (if this pictogram makes sense !)
This is just a dustcap/water/crap seal0
