I've bought myself a carerra which (as opposed to Scott or Saracen for the same price range) Now I get that for what I want it for that full susp isnt neccesary, nor are disc brakes. I'm a bit confudulated about travel specs on forks. Which is better for majority on road, occassional off road....75mm travel or 100mm travel? Scott (the better bike) had 75mm, the carrera has 100mm with preload somethings. can anyone clarify? Oh....and does anyone know why Shogun isnt available?

I wouldn't worry sounds as though either 75mm or 100mm would be good.My Ride Stumpjumper Expert 20080

quality of travel is more important than quantity. I'd look for a bike with 100mm of travel and lockout.0
