I'd like to use one head unit on two bikes (one road the other mb) in order to keep a track of my riding. Any recommendations anyone?

Cheers,

Mick

  • I've got a pretty basic Cateye Mitty 8, which allows the user to enter the wheel dimensions of 2 bikes so that you can simply switch the screen from one to the other.

I imagine that most cycle computers would have this functionality these days. Only problem with mine is I don't think it stores 2 lots of odometer information so you'd have to keep remembering and re-entering the total milage if you want to keep track of how far you've been on each bike.

Cateye Mitty 8 is a nice and bomb-proof computer. As Stephen says just about any computer will be swappable, so make your decision based on other factors. To be honest the Cateyes are so cheap I leave one on each of my bikes (one Mity 8, and two Mity 3s) and swap the Garmin around. The extra cable set for Cateye costs almost as much as a new computer.
