Ricco interview in a service station on Italian border...
Italian TV interviewed Ricco this morning in a service station near the Italian border. It was shown on ES...
Interviewer:
There's so much bitterness...
Ricco:
Yes, a lot of bitterness. I spent the night at the gendarmarie, in prison virtually. I spoke to the magistrate today, then they went through my bags.but they didn't find anything, just the usual vitamins we have. So, they let me go home because there was nothing.
Interviewer:
Ricardo, you said before you weren't taking anything. Can you confirm that?
Ricco:
The answer to that will come in the next few days. Now I'll speak to my lawyer and we'll start my defence.
Interviewer:
How do you feel about your team firing you?
Ricco:
That's the usual procedure for teams in these cases, they have to do that. Now I'll ask for the B sample results, and we'll se.
Interviewer:
What message do you have for the Italian fans who've been supporting you?
Ricco:
That I'll return and I'll be stronger than before.

Thats whats wrong in my eyes. They no their going to be back in the peloton in 2 years so it doesn't deter them cheating. What happens to the doctors that help these riders they should be banned for life too.0 -
The lack of denial is weird. Maybe something in the translation? If not, he's an idiot.0

Ricco is an idiot. The question is, will the controlling bodies also be idiots and just ban him for two years. Personally, I think they should take his right leg off at the same time. That'll stop a comeback.0

Didn't Landis say something similar when he was first confronted, then a couple of days later came out with a 10 page denial.
They are like politicians, never answering the question that is being asked.
They are ruining the sport for everyone.
Other than that i have quite enjoyed this tour so far, the doping stories don't seem to have had as much WOW factor as the ones in previous years, maybe people just expect it now.......
Sad state of affairs for a beautiful sport......0
