new shimano 9 speed 105 cassettes and chain

Hi all,

I want to change a shimano 105 9-speed cassette to 12-27 and the chain. Looking at websites there is not any that I can find that are selling 105 9-speed. What are my options for finding replacements?

You could try an Ultegra cassette? I've just this morning installed an Ultegra 6500 12/27 cassette and KMC X9 chain on my 9-speed Shimano setup (Tiagra, 105, Ultegra). Picked the cassette up from Chain Reaction for £25.

Lagavulin, is your rear mech 105? I was looking at the 6500 as a replacement but want to be sure it will work with the 105 rear mech.

Yep. Drivetrain is mostly Tiagra but with 105 rear-mech. This is now my third 6500 cassette. Have had two 12-25 blocks and had no issues with them.
