Hi! I am struggling to make decision on which bike to buy. As a back pain sufferer, I cannot buy very low down (like Scott Sub 20). I have narrowed down to my choice - between MTB and Hybrid. I will be cycling mainly on the weekend and some odd weekdays. I have tried few but not those I have highlighted here:

Specialized Hardrock Pro Disc
Cannondale F5 Disc
Cannondale Badboy
Specialized Globe Sport Disc Bike
Scott Aspect 45

I am 5'6" medium built. Your suggestion welcome.

Oh! any idea about Land Rover Bikes?

Don't bother with the Land Rover bikes mate! It is my opinion that taking other folks advice on what suits you is a waste of time, you are a lot better off taking your time and going to various bike shops and actually sitting on each bike you are looking at. It's the only way you'll find out which one suits you as other folk can only go off their own experience - and the chaances that a 5'6" Guy, or Gall, has tried the above bikes are fairly slim. Just my opinion though!!!!!!!!
If it's not a Yeti, it's not worth riding!

For a bad back you can't beat a full sus, however if that's too rich at least get an alien xcr sus seatpost to take the sting out.

Getting your seating position will be important otherwise you will end up straining your back.

I have that much power in my legs i have to be very careful and warm up slowly otherwise i put said power down and end up with lower back pain, not a lot but enough to bother me at times.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
