Is Cav at his peak, speed-wise?

Sean Yates was saying today that he probably is. He'll said Cav will build stamina as he gets older...but he won't get faster. Hmm. What do you reckon? He was speed-trapped at 46 mph on the finish line yesterday. Could he go faster? What's his top speed on the track?

    In that case his top speed was probably 50 mph as he sat up well before the line and coasted!

    Holy crap, how fast? What sort of gearing must he be running to go that fast, even at the cadence he's at? Saw todays highlights on ITV4 having heard the news on the radio at 6 o' clock on the way home and heard nothing about TDF. Assumed someone else had got the stage; cue much shouting at the TV!!!
