mid 90s gt question

hi there ( first post sorry if in wrong section coluld a mod move please ) right just getting into riding after a few years picked up giant acid 1 cheap and upgraded with a few old bits i had around azonics etc
anyway now im getting out a bit more am finding the frame geometry a little off for what i need ( riding to work on nice days etc ) i built a fully rigid scab for my bro and thats way nicer to ride for longer periods but still fun to chuck around
and so i had a zaskar le as a lad (good old pearents) was thinking id like to build one up
however ive been offered a tempest frame of the same era dont realy want to build it and be dissapointed so anyone know the differences in the two frames ?

slightly shorter geometry, 7005 alu, plain guage tubes (mostly), heavier. Be much better than the stp for what you suggest.0
