Got my new Reba Race fork fitted yesterday [panicked after reading about activesport, but i lucked out!!]
So, am a bit clueless on the old +/- dual air system and noticed on other posts that the guide air pressures are a bit high.
I weigh 13.5st, so set both chambers to 120psi last night. Should get a chance to play tonight, but away for rest of weekend. This sound ok?? - will play about when i get time, but just want to set it approx for a short blast tonight.
Also - what level do u guys with the Race/Team set your external floodgate at? - guessin hardest/no travel may be best for me as i sometimes end up on the road.
Cheer and here is a pic of my Aspect 20 with new fork, XT crank and pimped Pana tyres

set the pressure to give the sag you want. play with the neg air to control the small bump feel and flood gate again to what you want.
There are no fixed numbers for anyone as there are too many variables.
just take the pump with you."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'm 15st and a bit and mine are set to 130ish and they are quite stiff still.
Flood gate - mine is near enogh full + as I like it stiff and it's got a big lmp to hold up :-)
It takes a few rides to get it set right for yu but once you do it's a top fork.0 -

I run my Reba Teams with around 100 PSI in both chambers (I weigh about 12st) and have the floodgate all the way up to max so they lock out properly for road use.
As NIck says set the pressures by measuring sag, set the negative chamber to to the same pressure as the positive to start with. Remember if the negative chamber is higher than the positive it can suck the forks down so you do need to adjust both chambers as you set the sag. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
I weigh 8st and have it set up to 110psi in both chambers. A lot higher than it suggests, but i find setting it any lower makes it far too soft and it tops out a lot.0

9'ish stone here, 75psi positve 65psi negative, which makes them a little springy and not moving on anything too small for me, just how i like it. rebound set at 2 1/2 turns from tortoise and the lockout set so i can hammer it out of the saddle with just a hint of movement but giving on Big hits.
just experiment alot and find what works best for you, start with equal pressures, medium rebound and lockout and go from there.0 -

When the fork fully extends, you might get a clunk or thud as it hits the bumper. Shouldn't happen with this fork with a negative air spring and damping.0

nope not heard that yet, all i ever hear is a schluurrcch if i turn the rebound down low, i guess that's just the oil doing it's thing though.0

I`m a similar weight, and normally have mine set around 120,so you are in the right ball park.
Just for experimentation this week,I`ve dropped to 110,which equates to 25% sag.2006 Giant XTC

my +air is set to 100psi, but my -is set to about 70psi. otheriwse it drags the fork down in its travel, mine are SL's so dont have the external floodgate thing. mine is fairly firm on the lockout, as i dont see the point in locking ti out and still having loads of movement?!I said hit the brakes not the tree!!

Away at the weekend so only got to have a quick 5 mile run down the canal path on Fri night. Wow - so much better than the old Darts. Hardly feel the bumps now, and the whole front end is so lighter.
