Spacers for Tiagra brakes

I persuaded my wife to get a road bike after having ridden upright with straight handlebars for years. It's taking a bit of getting used to for her, and the main problem she has is reaching the brakes since her hands are small.

The Tiagra documentation mentions pad spacers which will reduce the reach, but I can't find them anywhere. Specialized do something called Slim Shims but not for Tiagra 9 speed. Anyone know where I can find something which will do the job?

    Hi, they come with new Tiagra levers, two pairs of different thickness. They work really well and do not spoil the look of the brake lever. Most bike shops must have them lying around after building up a bike. If not they must be able to get some for you
