Installing a Chris King Headset

Last night I installed my new 2nd hand Chris King Headset. The question I have is does the Crown race have to be flush to the top of the Forks (Revelation Coil U-Turns) as I didn't have the right tool to install the Crown Race, I managed to get it most of the way down with approx 2-3mm gap from the top of the fork to the Crown Race. Does this really matter if it does I will take it to the LBS

    yes it needs to sit on the crown of the fork.
