He's an Aussie, most from Australasia sound a bit ghey. But to be fair I wouldn't have wanted any old idiot to be touching my shoulder after I injured it.0 -
ok i suggest you go and smash your shoulder and then see if you can not react when someone pokes at it
We are laid back in nature - not 'Camp' as you put it0 -
He seems more worried about them touching is little cuddly lion.0
-
You're right, the guy is after his lion, well done Cadel for slapping him away.0
-
Hill - flippin - arious!!!
Look out Cadel, they're after your "prescious things", It's a local lion for local people, there's nothing for you here!Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

 i probably would too
+1. If I'd ever taken the prize that I had dreamed of for over half my life I'd take it everywhere and never let it out of my sight. CSC grossly underestimate how much it means to Cadel if they think they are going to get it off him without the most titanic struggle.0 -

YES totally! I hate all the Cadel bashing on this forum. So he's never been the most exciting rider in the world, and when climbs he looks like he's fitting, but it quite obviously means so much to him. And yeah, i'd be sleeping in it too :oops:0 -
I quite changed my opinion of him after seeing the interview where he was almost in tears! Really sweet too how he kissed the lion. Shows how much getting the yellow jersey means to all of these guys - a lot of training and a lot of luck!'Google can bring back a hundred thousand answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one.'

Gawd, we're all suckers for a bit of emotion aren't we !0 -
If somebody touched me with a microphone like that on the shoulder which had been clearly bleeding through his jersey towards the end of the stage I'd have smacked them !!!
He was far too polite in my opinion !!!0 -

So that's how you get him to attack...
I bet he slept in the jersey simply because taking it off again was too painful.0 -
a work collegue of mine (aussie) was regaling us with stories of Cadel from his school days with him. Aparently he was a camp, bullied kid who cried at the drop of a hat. so it seems true to form..
can't knock his talent, he's a great rider, i'm just not sure i want him to win the tour0 -
that face he pulls when he says today im in yellow...................................

I think Cadel is not ready to be a tour leader. Sure, you don't want t guy touching you, especially not on your injured shoulder but all you need to do is say, "Hey, guys please watch my injured shoulder. You gotta be careful." Then have your bodyguard move toward that side. A much classier way to handle it, and much more like a leader.
Do you thnk ASO wants the TDF represented by a guy who slaps at hands crying, "Don't touch me!"?0 -
The guy is being criticised for the way he asks journalists not to touch his shoulder.
I'm not his biggest fan but he's entitled not to be injured by a media scrum.
Try riding in heat with seeping wounds, as the sweat and salt from several hours of racing burns your wounds!

A wheelsucking xenophobe who's behaviour resembles a cross between Mark Cavendish and Naomi Campbell on a bad episode of jerry springer. The "talk to the helmet" strop was priceless. I wouldn't tolerate my child behaving like that and he was only 3 yesterday.Dan0

Quite agree, well said (if a bit harsh on Cav).
