New drivetrain

I've recently fitted a new cassette (XT), new chainwheels (LX inner, middle and outer) and a new chain (SRAM 991). My first ride since it was all fitted I noticed a slight clicking/rubbing as I pedalled. I had only left the lubrication from the packaged new chain on the drivetrain and did not apply any more. It was a very, very wet ride last Wednesday!

Can anyone tell me if this should be expected from a new drivetrain and that it will eventually 'bed-in' and run for more smoothly?

did you re set the mechs? and check the condition of the jockey wheels?

In my naivety (sp.) I didn't think I would need to check the mechs, and I never thought about replacing the jockey wheels.

Do you think completing the job properly will make things sound a bit sweeter?
