...how do you find the time to ride for the hell of it? I've got 3 y.o. twins, "keep you busy", etc...
Have just treated 531 to some slightly used MA3 on 105 combo hoops, with a delicate sprinkling of Contis
Now I want to ride it
And it's wasted on my commutes, but how do I find the time? If I ride more, then I can treat myself to some proper gear...shoes, jersey, you know...

It's just a hill. Get over it.

i have a 1 y/o and she keeps me occupied enough to not get out in the evenings. i used to swim, i used to play football. now i'm grateful to be dressed and able to eat my dinner most days.
i'm hoping the longer route commute makes it worth getting a new bike! as you say, it might mean a few more bits of gear...0 -
surely 3 y.o twins is sextuplets :shock:0

...I have a 14 year old son at home, who asks when I get in from my 11 mile commute, "Dad, can we go out on our road bikes now?" So I'm getting the miles in......all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

You'd better tell your son that under the age of 18 he is obliged to call a road bike a "racer" and secretly fondle the saddle when he thinks no-one is looking. And also wear bell bottoms pinned back with cycling clips.0 -
biondino...I'm afraid he doesn't know what a "racer" is...also bell bottoms went out of fashion in 1974...tsk, tsk you oldies ...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

Sunday is club run day full stop. Commute during the week with turbo sessions when my 4year old son is in bed. Any time trials and my son comes along with the missus and offers me a helping hand/cheer....

I've taken the easy option and am happily single, with no children! The only person stopping me from going out is myself. I find time for cricket, cycling, baseball, weights and various other activities. Its a tough life, but someone has to do it. God, I don't even have to justify my latest purchase with anyone!0

I want to be a house husband - the missus has higher earning potential so....
Then I'd be getting that kiddy trailer on quick smart and going out for evening runs whenever possible - that's what all this fantastic new lighting technology is for!0 -
