High-Pressure Hose for Trackpump

Can anyone please tell me where I can source some suitable replacement air-hose for my trackpump? The length that came on my SKS is just a little too short, and cycle-specific aftermarket replcements are £10-odd and the same length anyway!

Sorry to be inquisitive, but why is it too short? Can't you just rotate the wheel around until the valve is closer to the pump?
