What are the Thinnest Tyres i could get away with ?

I have a pair of 700 32c wheels can i only put 32 c tyres on them ? or can i go a little thinner with out any problems ?

    The thinnest tyres you could use depends on what rims you have.

    Have a read of Sheldon Brown's website. It should answer your questions:-

    You will either need to physically measure your inner rim width (oooh Matron) :shock: with a vernier caliper or find the dimension from the wheel manufacturers website. Then multiply that figure in millimetres by 1.45 and 2.0 to give you the minimum and maximum tyre widths for that particular rim.

    as others have said, you need to measure. 28mm tyres almost certainly possible, if it is a touring rim.
    Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.

    riding 32`s would be like riding through molasses , especially on hills, get a thinner set of rims and enjoy 23mm or 25mm tyres, you`d never go back to 32`s...........ever !
