Having asked a technical question in here last week with regards to my hybrid, I felt a pang of guilt and reckoned that I should have a machine worthy of being privileged enough to post in the road forum. Hope that this does the trick...

Ok, so last week's post wasn't my only motivation for buying a road bike, it's actually been on my mind for a couple of months. I'd not owned any bike for over 15 years before I got a hybrid last year for my commute through north London, but I think I've got the cycling bug enough to warrant having a weekend bike for stretching my legs a bit. I realise the Giant is still pretty modest considering some of the more exotic rides around here (and in the shops), but despite the temptation to spend more I'm very aware of diminishing returns and felt a half-carbon frame with 105 gear was adequate enough.

Still intend to use the Scott for daily duties, but it's gonna be very hard to leave the roadie at home when the weather is decent. Forecast looks good for tomorrow too :)

No No that is just lovely for a first road bike, definitely better than my first road machine! Nice one.
