Well? Which one do you use the most, or does it vary?
Personally my body always warms up quicker than my arms so it is the warmers for me :P

My gilet is probably my favourite bit of kit. I often carry it with me on cooler summer days, when I'd never consider bringing my arm warmers. It offers brief respite against showers and is windproof. I probably use it 9 months a year, so for me its far, far more usefu than my armwarmers, which only come out for 2 or 3 months.0

I agree - A gillet is very handy, I always carry one with me as its so light (Montane). Useful for putting on for the long downhills if the air temp is a bit low or when changing a puncture.
One thing I would say is make sure that the zip length if a full length one, my montane is a short length one and I can't even get it over my helmet!
I also find my arm warmers always seem to (eventually) work their way loose and slip down.0 -
Depends on conditions. Last weekend did Marmotte. Weather was forecast good and I dont get cold descending so just took armwarmers to keep early morning chill off + a bin bag to act as chuckable gilet for descent down to Bourg for finish.
I just roll armwarmers down once warmed up as like to roll back up again for descents not only to keep warm but also on couple of times come off they help prevent some road rash.
PS Follow up poll question could be "Can you take your gilet on/off while riding?" (I cant..)Martin S. Newbury RC0 -

Arm warmers are used more often, usually for the first 10/15 minutes of a ride and the last 15/20 mins of a ride, to keep my arms comfy.
Arm warmers are useful if it gets a bit chilly or just after intervals or something. Or if you fancy a break at the top of a hill
A gilet will be taken if theres a threat of rain, as it keeps your body warm, and doesn't boil you in the same way a full length coat does."I hold it true, what'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost;
Than never to have loved at all."

Neither, its summer damnit and I'll ride in a s/s jersey!0

never used a gilliet before this year - they are brilliant. I use it in cold or slightly wet conditions with arm warmers. If it gets too warm I just take the warmers off. Both are very small for back pocket packing too. I have sewn on a short piece of 3M reflective tape in the middle of the back of the gillet for the winter commute (when I will also pack a waterproof just in case).I must say goodbye to the blindfold

I always slip on a very thin and light waterproof if it is a bit chilly. The type that just crushes up into your back pocket.0

Not actually got a gillet (at least not one I'd use on a bike) but I think arm warmers are great. I wore mine all day today on our 85km Autumn Tints Wednesday ride and they were just right with a s/s sleeve jersey, bib shorts and a T shirt as an under vest (I always like to wear 2 layers for skid protection).
I managed with bare feet and my Shimano SPD sandals even though my feet did get slightly chilly. There was a threat of rain and I prefer to wear as little as possible - less to get dry
I'd just like to do a few rides without feeling the need to shove my big waterproof(ish) jacket in the rack pack Where's Summer when you need it?

I have a blue PBK/Nalini gillet for sale as I stupidly pulled the label off by accident.

Having seen the difficulty many riders had at the top of the Col de Agnel today putting on theirs, I can't seen how anyone could vote for gilets unless prepared to stop.
