xtr 08 front mech problem

Hi, my xtr front mech is proving v fiddly to set up. It either fouls the chain slightly or after slight adjustment wont change up onto the big ring....it's driving me mad. Please help if you can.

    Follow the guidlines on Parktools. you must set the stops first before playing with the tension.

    and you do realise it will rub in certain gears.

    Just checked out Parktools, v helpful so thanks for that.

    When it was set up by my LBS it didn't rub at all. Now after a couple of rides it does. Does that mean that now it's bedded in it will rub in some gears all the time? If so do all front mechs do this?

    Ok in that case the cable will have stretched a bit (as long as you have not hit/moved the mech) and a turn on the cable tensioner should fix it.
