Kids elbow / Knee protection advice

Hello all!
Can someone share experience/recommend good protection gear for 6 and 10 year olds?
The halfords ones look as if they will slip ands will not be there when needed and also not seem very comfy.
Im looking for something like 661 veggies kids version but cannot find anything. We really need something light and unobtrussive and suitable for all day rides.
Any ideas? Also what is there to be avoided would be interesting.
Thanks!

We don't usually have kids riding with protection. Unless they're doing BMX or riding really difficult terrain, they don't, generally, seem to be necessary.
I also guess that wearing them all day/for long(ish) periods might lead to chafing.Organising the Bradford Kids Saturday Bike Club at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre since 1998

Agreed it depends on the terrain you are riding and experience of the rider, we use it on the black at Lllandegla, but not when we go on a go-ride session or for a quick blast of the red.
My son wears 661 MXE youth knee pads and no-fear extreme elbow pads, been on some epic rides 3 hr plus rides (25 – 30 miles of hard off-road) and had no issues with chaffing, watch out for sizing as the knee pads were initially too large and moved about on his leg a bit making them less than effective.
As aside, he was messing about in the top car-park at Llandegla a couple of weeks ago (trying to ride down a near vertical drop!) and came off quite spectacularly, two gashed elbows and one gashed knee, not wearing his pads at the time, also did a nice face plant (blood everywhere).
My youngest (6) will be going to Lllandegla soon and he will be wearing pads and a full face for the descent – no question.______________________________________________

Mike, Thank you for your comment and sound advice.
Unfortunately seing my daughter fall convinced me that they do need knee and elbow protection at all times. Perfectly even straight dry tarmac road, but recently recoated, so you cannot see the loose gravel at the sides. Even I, not a novice, was deceived to believe it was a safe strech. she only tried to gently reduce the speed, but skidded and the next second she fell off. She left most of her knee skin on the road too. Ordinary trousers got torn like paper. Grrr. You never know.
It would be very sad if the adult quality kids protection does not exist. Chafing consideration is valuable.. Maybe some DIY can be done. I have some ideas but still hope to find something out of production. Keep searching
