Potentially silly question lol. But better safe than sorry.

I recently bought some rockshox reba sl's, but i think i may have over pumped the fork... to let air out of the fork is it safe to just release the air from the valve the same way as a regular tyre valve? i.e. press down the pin in the middle. The fork has a Schraeder valves. Just don't want to risk doing something wrong with them.

Thanks a lot :)

yes or you can use the air release button on the pump so you can then see what the pressure is.

If you don't use the pump, watch your eyes, oil can come out with the air. Air release button is better, more controlled and safer.

You really need to use the bleed valve on the pump - this gives you far more control. Bear in mind that you've got a very small volume of air at a very high pressure. It's not like adjusting the pressure in your tyres!

If you just press the needle in the valve you'll loose all pressure faster than you can say "Oh C0ck" and you'll just have to pump it up again anyway!
