If you are looking for a great sportive then maybe try looking at the L'Ariegeoise it is held in the Ariege Pyreness and and as 1 of only 8 sportives in the UCI Golenbike series is rated up there with the best in the world.
It takes in many of the Cols used in the Tour and this years Ariegeoise was again a great sucess finishing on the Plateau De Beille (Tour stage fin in 2007).
