have a look at the wellgo mg1, virtually the same pedal as the v12 mag (wellgo make pedals for dmr). If wanting something tougher, then the b25 worth a look.0

also have a look at the gusset Slim Jim pedals."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

V12 mags rock But they Wellgo MG1 are cheaper and very similar if you don't want to spend the full price of the DMRs.Kona Dawg Deluxe ('07)
Kona Lava Dome ('95)

Or buy DMR if you want to give money to a british company who in turn support the british biking scene. (wisley being an example)0

or save the money and donate direct lol0

The DMR's are ideal for ultimate grip however aren't ideal for skater style shoes like vans etnies etc etc, suit better with thinner shoes.
The gussets feel better in my opinion and have decent grip just not as much as the DMR's especially in the wet.
Wellgo's frankly feel shit compared to either of the above.
Personally I'd check out the Primo Stricker Tenderiser pedals (BMX pedals) as having tried all mentioned (owned the first two and used the wellgo's, all on BMX's) as these have as much, if not more grip than the DMR's, better feel and are cheaper at 33 pounds for sealed aluminium ones or 40ish for magnesium ones.
make sure it's the Stricker versions with replaceable pins as the old ones are heavy.0 -
the right wellgos are virtually the same as dmr!0

My prefered choice are Shimano DX (MX30)0

Wellgo MG1 are pretty good value for money...0

Having rode enough Wethepeople's with the wellgos on (yes MG1's, stock items on 07 top end models) I have to say that they aren't the best.

They are better pedals than the others, I had the unsealed versions and wish I had the sealed versions as these are great pedals.0
