hi guys
my juicy 5 callipers are really tight on the discs, at the risk of sounding like an idiot, how do i loosen them up, do i have to bleed them or something like that

Have you squeezed the brake without the wheel in place?

Maybe try removing the wheel and prise the pads apart with a flat screwdriver then refit the wheel and test the brakes/check for tightness.

If not pistons may be slightly seized through lack of use.

IMO bleeding wont make much difference as that would mean theres air in the system which would relieve the pressure on the calipers.

Did you try just simply realigning the caliper?

wheel out pads out and give the pistons a clean. push back pistons, re fit pads and wheels

    use.

  • thanks guys i pryed the pads apart first of all and they worked fine, so i went for a 5 mile easy ride to test them out and by the time i was back home i could tell they had tightened onto the disc again, so i did as you said and took them all apart gave it all a good clean and they are working well again and havnt locked back up.
    thanks alot guys :D
