After 3 months of UK riding the inevitable has happened and my equalizer shock wont hold full pressure.

I cant get the bike to the store where I bought it from as it is a long long long way away.

Anybody out there know who I contact to get it serviced? I am quite happy to get it couriered to guys who service/warranty them.

Cheers!

i feel you will be looking for your local Scott dealer for then to send away.

you could call TF Tuned , Mojo or Standec but i feel you will be back to your Scott dealer.

Hmmm I really hope that is not the case. Paying someone to do what I can do cheaper never appeals to me!

My nearest Scott dealer is an Evans and I didnt buy the bike from them but as it is a warranty job hopefully scott will come to the party.

you should not have to pay anyone to service your shock - there is a 12 month min. warranty on any new shock

however, it is your responsibility to get your bike (or shock) back to the retailer you purchased it from, and then they will send it at their cost back to the distributor or official service agent

if you are capable of removing your shock from your bike, just send it in a jiffy bag 1st class recorded delivery to the retailer

if you cannot remove the shop, have your local dealer remove it (at your cost, unless Scott will credit their account for the workshop time they will spend on your bike) and then send it back yourself, or again, ask Scott to credit the shop for the postage costs

your local Scott dealer is not responsible for your bike, as your contract is with the retailer you purchased it from

however, with goodwill from Scott (and credit to the local Scott dealer's account) you should be able to get this done locally

    Cheers Rob,

I took it off myself (I have no problems with that sort of thing) and dropped it off at Evans and they have sent it away for free!

Now seeing as I didnt buy it from them I was pretty stoked.

It may not happen often but full credit to Evans for that.
