Handlebars creaking
Whenever i am out of the saddle climbing hills there is a creaking noise comming from the handlebars or the stem area of the bike, would it help if i remove the bars and stem and grease the top of the forks that holds the stem and the clamp that holds the handlebars, or would it be risky putting grease onto these parts.
Any suggestions would be great.

every time mine starts to creak I oil or grease the handlebar/stem joint0

Do as you suggested, thinnest smear of grease between clamping surfaces. He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0

just a thought... i had the same problem a month back... tried everything to no avail... i then realised it might be the quick release on the front wheel being a little under tight, lo and behold problem fixed :roll:a Bianchi is for life... not just for christmas0

I've had the same problem recently - try tightening up the bolts that secure the handlebars to the stem, hopefully it'll sort it out.0
