After every wet ride I get about half a glass full of water in my bianchi c2c 928 frame. I have to take the seat post off to empty it. Has anyone else had this problem? My bike shop put special grease around the seat collar but this hasn't helped.

Cheers

A not uncommon problem. One solution is to drill a hole (carefully) in the BB shell. Some bikes have this as standard

... just think how bad we had it back in the day of caged balls in your headset and/or BB! As mentioned, most frames, regardless of material, have some form of weep holes to drain excess water and/or to allow egress for condensates... however, you're either riding a lot in the rain, or that puddle is deeper than you thought!

Should I take it back to the shop to get looked at or is it something that I have to put up with? BTW it rains alot in this country

If it's getting in around the seatpost or through the slot, cut an inch or two length of old innertube and put it over the seatpost and top of the frame, like a condom !
  • or use a condom, my teacher told me that, and they say it on the telly!
