cube bikes

hi, new to this forum and biking.been into my local shop and they have sugested cube for the amount i want to spend(£500 ish).what are your thoughts on this make and would you suggest something else.by the way, its a hardtail mtb im after, thanks

    I bought a Cube Attention in the middle of May and have to say that i am very pleased with it , although like the reviews say the fork is not very good as it is as clunky as hell when it is locked out. That aside i cant really complain about anything else on the bike as it has easily coped with anything that i have used it for (cycling to work and general trails in my area).I think if you opted to go for a Cube you wouldn't be disappointed (have you had a look at the Cube Acid it's a nice bike also ! i would probably have got one of those but it was just slightly outside my budget).
