I need to renew my contents insurance and want a decent cheap policy with bike cover for at least £2000.

Anyone know which insurers are the best??

thanks

Not really such thing as 'decent cheap cover' as with insurance you pay for what you get.People generally rate M&S home insurance as you can cover items up to £5k, it has a bike specific cover and covers you for going abroad with the bike as well

  • I've done mine through my bank Firstdirect for this very reason, I think its £2500 limit under normal household contents policy (so bike must be locked indoors, not in the shed). Directline do not insure bikes any more, which is why I cancelled my policy with then. Hope this helps
  • Changed my house cover to Liverpool Victoria. It includes public liability while out on the bike. Cover for the actual machine is extra so not sure how much it will be for a £2000 bike. You can get a quote on line

M&S do a reasonable policy which covers up to £5,000 including out on the road. Thier quote was also cheaper than our (at the time) current insurer.

Like any of them though it depends what their like if you need to make a claim
