Is a Hope Race Crown ok with a Chris King headset

As the Subject says just got myself a 2nd hand Chris King headset and want to swap it with my Hope Headset on my 2004 Enduro. Will the race crown I got with my Hope Headset work ok with the Chris King Headset.

Also with the Chris King headset there is a plastic washer thingy, where does this go?

it is an anti scuff ring to go below the stem.
